Taxes and Surcharges
All our fares include mandatory taxes and surcharges levied by the respective government authorities of Samoa and American Samoa and the Airport Facility Charge payable at Fagalii Airport, which applies to adult passengers only.
Passenger Types
Adult passenger – from 12 years
Child passenger – from 2 to 11 years inclusive
Infant passenger – under 2 years
Change & Cancellation Fees
Once you have purchased your ticket, the following penalty fees will apply for any changes to your booking or if you decide to cancel your flight:
WST50.00 per change for Fagalii/Pago Pago fares payable in Samoan Tala
USD20.00 per change for Pago Pago/Fagalii fares payable in US Dollars
Infants under the age of 2 years are exempt from paying any fees for booking changes and cancellations.
Fare Upgrades
Fare upgrades will apply for any booking changes involving special fares plus the applicable change fee.

No-show Policy
In line with standard airline practice, our no-show policy can result in you losing fifty percent (50%) of the base fare of the flight segment you no-showed on plus the applicable cancellation fee. A passenger will be classified as having no-showed on a flight if he or she turns up at the check-in counter after the flight has closed 20 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time of the flight, even if the aircraft has not physically departed a particular airport.
Refund Policy
Our fares are non-refundable once tickets have been purchased even if you end up not travelling. If you change your travel plans and cancel your flight voluntarily, we will place the remaining value of your cancelled flight segment after our cancel fee has been deducted into a voucher which you can use for future travel on any Polynesian Airlines’ flight within 12 months from your original book date. Unused vouchers will expire after 12 months and will automatically have no value. Vouchers are transferable subject to the written agreement of the passenger.

Important Note
For security reasons, please make sure you ask for an official Company receipt for any cash payments you give our staff or your Customer Copy of any credit card payments made to Polynesian Airlines. Should you leave our office without your receipt and later on a dispute arises on the payment of your airfares or any other products and services you purchased from us, we reserve the right to request full payment from you and will not enter into any dispute unless you produce the official receipt issued to you by the Company.
Group Bookings
We provide competitive fares for groups of 10 or more travelling together. Our group fares are normally cheaper than our published fares and sale fares. Group members travelling together are allowed to pool their baggage allowance provided they check-in together as a group. Please email us on

Charter Flights
Our Twin Otters are ideal for scenic charter flights around the two Samoas, commercial and business charter flights or for any medical evacuation or emergency charters. We have operated numerous charter flights over the years carrying commercial VIPs and government dignitaries not to mention life-saving medical evacuation and emergency medical charter flights to and from the big island of Savaii.
