Fagalii Airport
Polynesian Airlines enjoys the unique position of being a commercial airline and a commercial airport operator. On 01 July 2009, Polynesian Airlines re-opened Fagalii Airport for commercial airline operations. Fagalii Airport operates to international ICAO standards and received its Aerodrome Operating Certificate under the provisions of Civil Aviation Rule Part 139 to perform Aerodrome Operations. Fagalii Airport is restricted to daylight, non-instrument operations by aircraft with wing spans not exceeding 20 meters.
As Fagalii Airport is one of 5 main international ports of entry into Samoa, passengers travelling through this airport to/from American Samoa are subject to Customs, Immigration, Health and Quarantine regulations of Samoa.
Fagalii Airport is located in the village of Fagalii about 5km East of Apia town on the main island of Upolu and about 1km from the Royal Samoa Golf Course also located in Fagalii village.
